I have been contemplating my final website topic for Info 652 for a few weeks now, and still don't have any real direction. I was initially going to dedicate my website to my cat Zoe or my niece Kayleigh, but professor Corse brought it to our attention that people generally are not interested in your cat. She is absolutely correct. Everyone in the Library and Information Science program owns a cat or eight, and although Zoe is dear to my heart I doubt anyone will be particularly interested in her daily activities- including, but not limited to: eating, sleeping, purring, basking in the the sun, sleeping some more, eating more, and killing random species in the backyard. Now that I think about it, that truly isn't interesting.
Where do go from here? What topic do I feel that know well and can cover fairly well without a significant amount of research? What do I have a passion for, either explicitly or implicitly? These are all questions that I have been pondering and yet I haven't had any revelations. I am waiting for the epiphany and I shall keep my audience posted.
Cheers

I totally relate to your lost feeling about picking a website topic! It's a lot tougher than it sounds. Also, I'm cracking up because I would like nothing better than to dedicate my website to my nephew (although I won't), and I'm relieved to find out that there's someone else who is just as crazy about their niece/nephew as I am.
Sorry I can't help out with any inspiration, but at least I can commiserate. I'm excited to see how your thinking develops!
